Why does my Gradebook appear as an image?

You probably have JavaScript disabled. Please enable JavaScript to use the tool.

Who can use GradeView?

A valid MSU Net ID is required to use GradeView.

How do I get my Gradebook into my ANGEL course or web page?

Copy and paste the "Embed Code Snippet" into the source view of the page.

Can I use images or html in my text?

No, GradeView only accepts plain text.

I shared editing privileges with another user, why can't they see what I shared?

Sharing a folder isn't enough, you also need to share each gradebook or child folder you want the to be able to edit. Sharing a gradebook, but not its parent also is not enough, you must share both gradebook and parent(s).

What types of spreadsheets can I upload?

Please save your spreadsheet as one of the following types:
  • CSV (comma separated values) file saved with the .csv file extension.
  • Excel 97-2003 Workbook saved with the .xls file extension.

GradeView was created by and on behalf of MSU's Virtual University Design & Technology group, for use by the University. The idea was to create a simple tool to let instructors use their spreadsheet software to manage student grades, upload the grades and have a web accessible way for students to view only their own grade.
